AbilityOne Program

Federal Customers

Federal agencies buy mission-essential products and services through the AbilityOne Program, which employs tens of thousands of people nationwide who are blind or have significant disabilities.

AbilityOne operations include more than 1,000 locations representing 40 government agencies, and more than 160 Base Supply Centers.

The Department of Defense is AbilityOne’s biggest customer.

Many Federal agencies appoint AbilityOne Representatives (ABORs) – a designated individual who “advocates federal buying in accordance with mandatory source contracting procedures, engages with the workforce to build use of the Program, and offers feedback to the U.S. AbilityOne Commission to improve the value of the Program.”
