Executive Director

Kimberly M. Zeich became the U.S. AbilityOne Commission’s Executive Director in September 2022, after serving for a year as Acting Executive Director. Zeich has served in progressively responsible positions on the Commission including Deputy Executive Director; Director, Program Operations; Director, Business Development and Team Leader, Public Affairs.

The Commission is an independent Federal agency responsible for administering the AbilityOne® Program, through which Federal agencies purchase supplies and services from nonprofit agencies associated with National Industries for the Blind and SourceAmerica (serving people with disabilities). AbilityOne Program procurements provide mission-essential products and services to the federal government, while providing employment and training opportunities for more than 39,000 people who are blind or have other significant disabilities.

Zeich was previously responsible for overseeing the AbilityOne Procurement List of products and services. She had oversight of areas including business analysis and integration, pricing analysis, and information and records management. She was integrally involved in strategic planning and communications initiatives, including re-branding the AbilityOne Program in 2006-2007.

Zeich holds a master’s degree from the National Defense University’s Dwight D. Eisenhower School. She also has a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland College Park.
